Show Rules
Terms & Conditions including Refund and Cancellation Policy for Entries:
1. The National Side Saddle Show Oganisers reserve the right to refuse entries without assigning a reason.
2. The National Side Saddle Show Organisers have the right to cancel any part or the whole of the show.
3. No unauthorised persons shall enter the Show Arenas or Collecting Rings.
4. Objections must be made in writing to the Show Office within 30 minutes of the conclusion of the relevant class, or the posting of its scores, whichever is the later. A fee of £35.00 shall accompany any objection and will be returned if the objection is upheld. Only SSA Members may lodge objections in theEquitation Championship Classes and Classes run under SSA rules.
5. Competitors’ Dress with the exception of the Pas Seuls, Costume, Fancy Dress and classes with compulsory headwear, is in accordance with the currentSSAMembers’ and Affiliated Societies’ Handbooks. Gentlemen riders should wear traditional Ratcatcher, unless otherwise stated in the current SSA Members’ Handbook. Body Protectors are permitted in jumping classes but if a jacket not worn, a sweater of colour similar to the apron must be worn. Overseas Competitors see Overseas Competitors. Juniors may not wear spurs in any classes involving a jump.
6. Competitors’ Headwear is in accordance with the currentSSAMembers’ and Affiliated Societies’ Handbooks. Adult Competitors must wear a hat to current Safety Standard or above where indicated in the Class Rules and when not compulsory, wear alternative headgear at their own risk. Junior Competitors must wear a hat to current Safety Standard, or above in all classes.
7. Competition Rules are as stated in the currentNational Side Saddle Show Schedule, SSAMembers’ and Affiliated Societies’ Handbooks. Horses/ponies must be 4 years old or over.
8. Health and Safety requires the NSSSG’s commitment to fulfilling its legal obligations under the current Health and Safety at Work and all associated legislation. Reasonable precautions will be taken by the NSSSG to ensure the Health and Safety of persons present. For these measures to be effective, everyone must take all reasonable precautions to avoid and prevent any accidents occurring and must obey the Show Organisers, Officials and Stewards. Any Health and Safety issues should be addressed to the Show Office. The full Health and Safety Policy Statement is available in the Show Office.
8. Addington Manor Equestrian Centre, the NSSSG, the SSA, and their Officials cannot be held responsible for any loss, damage or injury to persons, animals or property, however caused.
9. All Payments must be made at the time by cheque, cash or cards only in £ sterling.
10. Late Entries cannot be accepted for Classes when “Riding Times” are given, unless qualification achieved after entries close date, and then must be received by 5.00pm on the Thursday of the Show. For all other classes late entries may be accepted, provided the correct documentation is presented at the time of entry if classes are not full, at the National Side saddle Show Organisers’ discretion. Late entries will incur a surcharge of £5.00 per class, unless for classes requiring qualification, provided qualified after the entries closed. Transferring entries from one class to another or change of horse/ rider will incur a £5.00 surcharge per change.
11. No refund of entry fees.
12. Prize money is as stated in the Current Show Schedule.
13. Competitors must provide the Show organiser with a contact telephone number in case of an emergency.
14. Medical cover will be provided by Hart First Response.
On Call Veterinary cover will be provided by Buckingham Equine Vets.
15. All dogs to be kept on leads at all times including in the lorry park.
