National Show Points Trophies |
If competitors wish to apply to compete for any of the Show Points Trophies, their eligibility must be claimed at the time of Entry. Competitors who are eligible will be given a points card in their Competitor Envelope to be completed and lodged at the Show Office within 30 minutes of the last class of the Show. All supporting letters etc., must accompany the Points Card. Late or incomplete returns will be disqualified.
In all classes (EXCEPT the Area Team Competitions, Pairs, Family Horse/Pony and Fancy Dress), Competitors may claim points: 10 for 1st, 9 for 2nd, 8 for 3rd, 7 for 4th, 6 for 5th and 5 for 6th and 4 for completing the Class, regardless of placing. In the case of a tie, the Winner is the eligible competitor with the greatest number of first places. In case of a further tie, the Winner is the eligible competitor who has completed the most Classes and in case of a further tie, the Trophy shall be held for equal periods of time by each of the tied Competitors. Winners will be notified and Trophies sent to them after the Show; results will be published in the SSA Newsletter and Winners invited to be formally presented with their Trophy at the next SSA AGM.

Show who rides side-saddle 90% of the normal year. Area Chairman
are required to confirm their Member's eligibility, in writing, either prior to or at the time
of Competitors collecting numbers at the Show. (For every 100
minutes riding time, 90 minutes should be ridden side saddle!)

1. Facebook, Twitter and other social networking sites of a similar nature are popular with Competitors, Judges, Instructors, Show Visitors, etc., for communicating and sharing information and pictures.
2. Inappropriate and offensive comments of any nature will not be tolerated under any circumstances – this includes remarks about the NSSSG.
3. Any person found to be making such remarks in a related group will be removed from the group without explanation.
4. Inappropriate images of Competitors and Show Attendees must not be posted, in the interest of fairness and to prevent miscommunication.
5. No alias or pseudonym may be used to circumnavigate this use of social media statement.
